The Egotist The Egotist

Rated 4 / 5 stars

Heavy stuff.

Sounding good! The only suggestion I have would be to bring the guitars a bit further up front (bass and rhythm). Also, I don't know if you've got the rhythm guitars panned hard left and right or not, but it sounds like its all getting kind squished in the middle. That should give it a much more open sound to it. As far as mastering, a little reverb goes a long way on the two-track as far as giving it a wider stereo sound.

Keep at it, can't wait to hear more!

evil-monkey-nuts responds:

Thanks, the guitars are middle left and right, so I'll try panning them hard and see what happens, and yes I agree on the reverb, everything seems to be over compressed at the moment. Thanks for the tips.

RRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Good shit! Liking the guitar melody. It's like progressive grindcore.

Definitely gave me a metal boner.

AbsenceofFear responds:

Thanks dude! The fact that you got a boner over the music gave me a boner. OH!

You know what I mean.

Great work, honestly. I never thought I would ever hear this song remixed. By the way, Chronos FTW.

NemesisTheory responds:

And I'm glad I helped fill the void!
Also while chronos is awesome, i always used jaguar xD

Righteous!

Good song. A lot of different changes. The patterns really make my blood start to boil, in a good way, of course! Only reason I gave 9/10, 5/5. Definitely reminds me a lot of Periphery. Excellent work! GET TO THOSE VOCALS!

Btw, how about a little peer review for a newcomer on NG? Don't feel obligated, but some critiques on whatever tracks I upload would be very helpful. And, you seem like you would have an ear/imagination for the music I write.
